Emma Stone

Emily Jean Stone, also called Emma, was born in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 6, 1988 to Krista Jean Stone (nee Yeager), who is a housewife, as well as Jeffrey Charles Stone (CEO of a firm that contracts and was its founder and CEO). Stone is of Swedish, German & British Isles descent. Stone began acting as a child in Phoenix's Valley Youth Theatre. There she gave her first stage production in "The Wind in the Willows" by Kenneth Grahame. As a teenager Stone was an active participant of numerous stage productions before she decided to pursue a career in acting. As per the official version of the story she performed an PowerPoint slide presentation that was supported by the Madonna's Hollywood and called "Project Hollywood" in an effort to persuade her parents to allow her to drop out of school and move to Los Angeles. The mother and daughter made the pitch and moved to LA. Her schooling was done at home, and she spent her time auditioning. Her TV debut in 2004 when she was offered the role as Laurie Partridge on the VH1 reality show In Search of the Partridge Family. This brought her a host of minor TV roles in the years to follow. After a string of success acting roles, her character Olive in Easy A (2010) was her debut in a film. She was a student at Xavier College Preparatory, Phoenix, Arizona. While she's referred to as an redhead, her true hair color is blonde. Judd Apatow suggested that she change her hair color to be more in line with Superbad (2007). She was so in love with it, she chose to keep the color. At the age of 15 she persuaded her parents she could go to Hollywood. She did this by creating a PowerPoint presentation entitled Project Hollywood. When she was 11 she started acting in the Valley Youth Theatre, Phoenix, AZ. There, she was a part of 16 stage productions and was a part in the comedy group improv. Caylee Cowan also performed in the Valley Youth Theatre.
