Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Sparrow was born in McComb (Mississippi) on December 2, 1981 and raised in Kentwood (Louisiana). Britney was a dancer in her youth and was a fantastic gymnast. She was a winner of numerous contests. Britney loves to sing and dance, but more importantly, she enjoyed dance classes. Britney was eight years old when the time came for her to join The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989), however, her young age led to her being disqualified. Britney was then suggested to the off-Broadway production "Ruthless" in which she performed the role of the title character for two years. She was back for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) in this time playing the mouseketeer. In the late 90s, Britney signed with Jive Recording Artist. After the release of her debut album"Baby One More Time" "...Baby One More Time" in the beginning of 1999, Britney became an international success having sold 13 million copies of "Baby" and 9 million (as of July 2001) of her second album "Oops !...I Did It Again" which was released in May 2000. Britney was born to Lynne Spears & Jamie Spears She has a big brother named Bryan Spears & a little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. From the time she was a kid, Britney was always fixing to become a famous singer with her idols including Madonna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, the young Britney was always singing, no matter what else was going on in the world around her. Britney was a candidate for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on TV when she was just 8. But she was too young to play the part. Britney along with her little sister, Britney relocated to New York, where she performed in a number of TV commercials as well as an off Broadway play called "Ruthless", under the direction of Natalie Portman. Her passion for dancing and music took over and two years later, she auditioned for part in "Mickey Mouse" again, and this time, won the part with Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
