Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and developed a passion for sprinting at Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt and placing among the top two athletes in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. She defended that title, beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top third of each event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
