Will Ferrell

Will Ferrell was a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live before going to appear in major-screen comedy films like 'Elf "Anchorman," as well as Talladega Nights. Born in 1967 in Irvine, California, Will Ferrell launched his career in comedy when he was part of the improv group from Los Angeles known as the Groundlings. Following his acclaimed seven-year run as a part of Saturday Night Live, he became one of the movie industry's most popular comedians through off-color hits such as Old School (2003) and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004). Ferrell was a co-founder of Funny or Die, a well-known video streaming site. Ferrell also had success as an actor voiceover in animated films such as Megamind (2010). John William Ferrell was conceived in Irvine, California on July 16 1967. The youngest son of Righteous Brothers keyboardist Lee Ferrell and teacher Kay Ferrell, Will was--by his own admission, not the class clown in his time as when he was a student at University High School. A quiet and solitary person, Ferrell made his impression on the football field and set a school record for most field goals scored. Even within the more secluded surroundings of his suburban home, Ferrell displayed little of the outrageous, humorous bursts that would eventually determine his career. In an interview with Esquire, his mother said that Ferrell was "very even-tempered, very easygoing." "You have any memories of those Matchbox cars?" Will be ecstatic to line up all of his Matchbox cars on his own. It would be like, "You want to go to Disneyland today, or line up your cars?' It would be a difficult conversation for him to consider. "That's not to say Ferrell was a total straight guy. A glimpse of his comedic abilities was evident each day at the high school when he disguised his voice in order to announce his daily activities over the PA system. After graduation in 1986 Ferrell went to the University of Southern California at Los Angeles, where he joined the Delta Tau fraternity and pursued the field of sports journalism with a degree.
