Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop music
boy group that formed in the year 2009. The group is composed of Kendall
Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. They signed their
first contract to Nick Records in 2009 before transferring to Columbia Records.
They appeared on Nickelodeon's television series, Big Time Rush. From November
28, 2009 until July 25 2013 the show was on air. The pilot episode featured
"Big Time Rush" The group's initial promotional single. The band has
released three albums, including BTR in 2010, Elevate in 2011 and 24/Seven ,
released in 2013. The band took an indefinite hiatus from 2014 that lasted
until 2021 when they resumed live shows and released their single "Call It
Like I See It". Nickelodeon has signed Big Time Rush to a recording deal
in 2009, concurrently with the TV show Big Time Rush. Then, Nickelodeon
partnered with Columbia/Epic Label Group to create the show, and also to add
original music for the show. The first single of the series, "Big Time
Rush" was released on the 29th of November, 2009. Officially announced by
Nickelodeon the show was first shown in the U.S. in November 2009, until it was
eventually made available worldwide. The show premiered during a one-hour
special preview of the show and it is the current theme for the show's opening.
The series also saw release of promotional singles such as "City is
Ours" and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush also recorded the
Play song "Famous" The song was written by the singer. The song came
out on iTunes on June 29th the 29th of June, 2010. Another song, "Halfway
There", was released to iTunes on April 27, 2010, after its premiere on
the show. It soon became the band's first single to be charted on the Billboard
Hot 100, peaking at number 93 due to sales on digital. The second single by Big
Time Rush, "Till You Forget About You" was released on the 21st of
September the 21st of September, 2010. It was released in order to promote
their debut album. BTR, the album BTR came out on the 11th of October 10th, 2010,
a day after the album's release. It debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200,
selling 67,000 copies within the first week of release.
