Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin, the Republic of Ireland, on the 11th of November in 1966. Model and an Irish actress. Her first feature film appearance was in a minor role in The James Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Later she was portrayed as a Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Donovan was Charlotte as Taffin in 1988. Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody began modelling after being offered by an experienced photographer. This led to an enviable modeling career in the commercial world. Doody did not like glamour or nude work, a rule that she incorporated into her acting. When she was dragged into the sights of the casting director of an upcoming James Bond film she accepted an unimportant role as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody appears in John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3. She is listed as one of the 12 top actors from 1986. 38. Doody, who was only 18 when she played the part of Doody in the film A Prayer to the Dying (1987) with Mickey Rourke, is the tiniest Bond girl to be seen. A Prayer for the Dying with Mickey Rourke also had a performance by Doody, playing IRA Siobhan. Doody had an unspoken role in the film as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias when she appeared in the film adaptation of his fantasy, 1987's version from The Secret Garden. She was Sapsorrow in the Jim Henson's fable show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she appeared with Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most notable role to date was as Austrian Nazi sympathiser and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The film also starred Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody has acted alongside three actors that have played James Bond. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British miniseries Selling Hitler, which was inspired by the publication fraud called the Hitler Diaries. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. She was chosen to replace Cybill Shepard as L'Oreal spokesperson and then continued to play opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his girlfriend and agent as Flannery's girlfriend and agent in Major League II. Doody was part of the 2003 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony in recognition of an award. Doody was a co-star, along together with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Doody made an appearance on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. She was also scheduled to be the main character in The Asphyx remake, but that project fell through. In 2011, she started the first season of two on the E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way. In November of 2018, she received the Almeria tierra de cine award and was awarded an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
